This Air Fryer Sriracha Salmon is healthy and quick to prepare. A simple 5-ingredient glaze is brushed on salmon filets and cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Yields 4 servings in under 20 minutes.
Simple. Fast. Delicious.
That’s exactly what this salmon recipe is. In all honesty, I probably make this just as much as I make this air fryer chicken. It’s flavorful and only a smidgen spicy. Although you can control the heat by adding more or less sriracha. But what I love most of all is that this simple salmon recipe is universal. It’s perfect served with rice and roasted, grilled or stir-fried veggies. You can flake it and serve it on top of a salad or in fried rice.
Great for meal prep for the week, an easy dinner or to use in your favorite recipe.
To Make Air Fryer Sriracha Salmon You Will Need:
- wild caught salmon
- coconut aminos (or use low-sodium tamari or low-sodium soy sauce)
- sriracha
- garlic powder
- white pepper
- olive oil spray
Divide a filet into four pieces. I’m using sockeye salmon, but you can use any salmon or you can even use steelhead trout.
In a bowl, measure and add 1-1/2 tablespoons coconut aminos, 1 teaspoon sriracha (or more to taste), 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil, 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon white pepper. Whisk to combine.
Let marinate on the counter while your air fryer preheats.
Preheat your air fryer to 390° or 400°
What Is Air Frying?
- An air fryer is a counter top appliance that requires less oil (anything from a few spritz to 1 tablespoon) yet produces crispy food that rivals most deep fried foods. By using circulating hot air, it moves at a high speed so the food tends to cook in a fraction of the time.
- There are a bunch of different makes and models of air fryers. My husband did the research (as he’s known to do) and found this air fryer [affiliate] to be one of the best. But do your research and purchase one that fits your lifestyle.
How is Air Frying Healthier?
- Air frying is healthier because only a thin layer of oil coats the food and when the hot air comes in contact it will crisp. Saving you a ton of fat and calories (without sacrificing any flavor!) because food is not being submerged in a vat of hot oil.
- Keep in mind, not all air fryers are equal. Some preheat and some do not. Some are smaller than others therefore you may need to work in smaller batches to air fry.

Once preheated, place the salmon skin-side down on your air fryer tray/insert lightly sprayed with olive oil spray. I line mine with air fryer parchment paper specifically made for the air fryer.
If using parchment paper, make sure it’s meant for the air fryer and never preheat your air fryer with parchment paper inside.
Working in batches if necessary, air fry the salmon for 7 to 9 minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon filet. Repeat this with the last two salmon filets.
Serve with a sprinkle of sliced green onions and/or toasted sesame seeds.
